In addition to it's own conferences and activities, IAMCR occasionally organises or co-sponsors conferences, seminars, online events and other activities around the world. Our Sections and Working Groups, national and regional ambassadors, partner associations and universities may also organise or sponsor events. 13 May, 2026- This webinar explores disability and media in Sub-Saharan Africa, bringing together diverse perspectives to highlight key issues, share research, and amplify African scholarship in the field. Pre-register by 11 May.

Information, Communication and News (ICAN8)

The IAMCR History Section, the Gender and Communication Section, and the South Asia Communication Association (SACA) are collaborating with Delhi Metropolitan Education (DME), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIP), India, for the Information, Communication and News conference, to be held at DME, India, on 16–17 April 2026.

17–18 April 2026 - The School of Communication at Shanghai Jiao Tong University will host the second edition of the SJTU–IAMCR Emerging Media Forum. Co-sponsored by IAMCR, the forum will convene under the theme Creative Communication and Empowerment.. Submission deadline 23 February.
