Our logo

The IAMCR 2025 logo was designed by Soh Ee Shaun, a former student of Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information.

The Design

The IAMCR 2025 logo features Singapore’s National Flower, the orchid, symbolizing sustainability and resilience. This design aligns with our theme, “Communicating Environmental Justice: Many Voices, One Planet,” with the petals representing the unique perspectives and contributions of various stakeholders in the environmental advocacy landscape. Just as orchids thrive in diverse environments, effective communication flourishes when it embraces a multitude of voices, essential for tackling complex environmental challenges.

The flower embodies growth and renewal, reflecting the ongoing journey toward sustainability and inclusivity. Ultimately, the IAMCR 2025 logo encapsulates the spirit of collaboration necessary for environmental justice, reminding us that by uniting our diverse voices, we can work together toward a healthier planet for all.

Artist’s Statement

My name is Soh Ee Shaun, and I graduated from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information in 2004. I've been practicing as an artist, illustrator and educator for 20 years, and I recently completed my Master’s in Fine Arts at Falmouth University. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to design the IAMCR 2025 conference logo, drawing inspiration from Singapore’s national flower, the orchid, as a symbol for sustainability and resilience with each petal representing the multitude of voices flourishing and coming together as one. I hope the logo inspires reflection on environmental issues and unites us in our efforts to protect and cherish a sustainable, beautiful planet for future generations.
